Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies that result path. Carteret Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Our hosting may record standard server data, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregated technical data to maintain the service and understand general traffic. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement.
How Data Is Used
Limited data supports site operation, security, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual visitor profiles from the reference pages.
External Services
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Their policies govern information submitted on their systems, including sponsored-result services.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process the technical data described here. Analytics or advertising partners may receive automatic data where enabled. We disclose information only when a valid legal requirement calls for it.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by Carteret Residents Directory.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect a minor's personal information. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information and we will address the request.
Your Privacy Choices
You may ask about personal data we hold, or request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Because the service keeps very little, most requests concern contact correspondence or operational logs. Use the Contact page. Public records held by Carteret, Middlesex County, New Jersey, or another custodian are outside our control; requests about those records go to the custodian or, where applicable, a statutory privacy program.

We may revise this policy by posting an updated version here. Continued use after publication means the updated policy applies.
